72 Hours in Big Sur, CA

There are many ways to spend 4th of July weekend, but arguably the best way (and really the best way to spend any weekend) is to head three hours south of San Francisco to the magical place they call Big Sur. Top recommendations include soaking in some sun and ocean at Sand Dollar Beach, having dinner at Nepenthe, camping at Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park, and experiencing the Henry Miller Library firsthand. Making new friends with those living out of their beautifully restored ’66 VW van is also recommended.
