72 Hours on the Big Island

Ah Hawaii. So many places to go, so many options for things to do, yet still totally acceptable to spend all of your time sitting by the beach. The next time you have a big reason to celebrate (like your Dad’s 60th birthday or winning the lottery) we recommend you plan a trip to Hawai’i, or the Big Island, of Hawaii. With incredible beaches, volcanoes, sushi, hiking, and more, the Big Island offers something for everyone. Here are five activities for an exceptionally relaxing weekend, bearing in mind you have to factor in at least three hours a day of beach time, of course!

1. Hang out by the beach at the Mauna Lani Bay Resort.

2. Kayak through a bay of sleeping dolphins and snorkel with Adventures in Paradise near the Captain Cook monument (the tiny white dot on the far left in this photo).

3. Eat the best poke bowl of your life at Da Poke Shack.

4. Experience the Halo Halo shaved ice at the Original Big Island Shaved Ice Co. (That light purple color is Ube- purple sweet potato ice cream!)

5. Take in as many sunsets as possible.

Aloha 🙂
